Joshua Quintanilla (Owner/Tutor) - I am a graduate from the University of California Davis with a double bachelors in biological sciences and history. I am the owner of JQ Tutoring Center, LLC, and it is my honor to be working with you and helping you reach your greatest academic potential. As an educator, historian, scientist, and former university advisor, it is my goal to prepare the next generation of young professionals who will take over the roles of leadership after the former generation steps down. I specialize in biology with a particular focus on cell biology. In this specialty, I am able to teach biology, biochemistry, and organic chemistry, and mathematics. I have over four years in the industry as a scientist, and one additional year as a former microbiology lab tutor at university.
My second speciality is history with a particular focus in ancient Greco-Roman history. I have over five years as a writer & historian, and I use my writing skills to help students write essays in a variety of styles from expository, argumentative, narrative, and descriptive essay. I even help students write their university admission essay and give them tips on how to reach their audience and convey why they should be chosen for admission.
I've worked with students since 2009 as a student volunteer and I started tutoring professionally since January of 2017. I formally established my tutoring business in the summer of 2021 and it is my hope that I am able to make an impact to the students of my community and be part of their academic journey.
